What you're seeing actually isn't an error message. Would you have any suggestions? Again, you have my thanks for your assistance. I did receive a new CAC card in the past month, but it did work under my current set up before this problem cropped up last week. Using Firefox, at least I do not receive this message, but I still am met with the same impassable "Server not found" error as in Safari. Taking advice from the Apple Support Forums, I always click "Always Trust," having to do this this makes no difference as the same message appears each time I open a new tab within Safari. This is baffling as I have not upgraded either my browser or OS, so nothing should have changed since I first started having this problem.
